Are Pick Up Lines Just a Security Blanket?

So, you're out there wherever, you see a lovely lass you want to meet, what should you say?

Does it really matter what you say?

Of course your words matter - but not as much as you might think.

What could matter more than the actual words that come out of your mouth??

How you say those words.

I had this friend years ago who had a really funny sense of humor, always cracking jokes. I heard him say some of the strangest - and even downright bizarre and inappropriate - things to women he just met, and they would just laugh.

Because of the WAY he said it.

I think we guys tend to over-think things. Including what to say to females we want to meet.

If you do even just a little sniffing around at studies and research done into how humans communicate, you'll quickly find that it's the non-verbals like facial expression, gestures, and body posture that make the biggest difference. The only real reason pick up lines work is because of the way they're said, but guys focus only on WHAT was said.

So, if you're watching some guy use pick up lines and they work, you should focus more on HOW he said it than what he said.

Don't fool yourself into thinking that the words in a sentence are the magic, they're not. The more you rely on words, the more you're like a child that needs a security blanket.
